SAPPY is an atmospheric emotional survival experience where your greatest enemy is your own mind.

You begin in the Circus of Life — a small safe haven where Sappy feels calm, happy, and protected. Fear slowly fades here. But safety never lasts long. The moment you step into the fog, anxiety starts creeping in.

🌫️ Face fear, or lose control

The deeper you go, the stronger Sappy’s fear becomes. If it overwhelms him, he panics — briefly running back toward safety on his own, without your control.

🎭 A world shaped by emotion

Sappy’s Mood Meter constantly shifts from Happy → Stability → Sad → Depression. Cross into Sad, and the world itself transforms. A bright, flower-filled forest turns into a dark, swampy landscape. The path stays the same — only Sappy’s perception changes.

🫁 Breathe to survive

Through a simple but tense breathing mini-game, you can influence Sappy’s state of mind:

• Precise timing brings calm and emotional relief
• Mistakes fuel anger and drag him closer to sadness

🔥 Anger fights back

The longer Sappy stays sad or depressed, the more anger builds. Too much anger — and he refuses to collect essence at all, no matter which world he’s in.

✨ Collect emotions. Stay balanced.

• Gather Happy Essence in the hopeful world
• Gather Sad Essence in the darker one

Your goal: collect as many essence orbs as possible while keeping Sappy from falling into depression.

Failing means losing him: stay at the lowest point of the Mood Meter for just a few seconds — and Sappy is lost.
